That’s me — mama, learner, and your guide through this beautiful journey. 💛

Hi, I’m Rica 👋

Welcome to my little corner of the internet — a cozy space where real motherhood lives.

I’m a Filipino mom living in Canada, and I stepped into pregnancy with a million questions and very few answers. I created this blog to share my journey in the simplest, most honest way possible — the kind of sharing that actually helps, not the kind that makes you feel like you’re failing.

My Story

Becoming a mother has been the most beautiful and overwhelming adventure of my life. From those early pregnancy weeks to figuring out newborn care, feeding, sleep, and all the little (and big) worries in between — I’ve felt it all.

As an immigrant mom in Canada, I know how it feels when there’s no tita (Auntie) to call or nanay (Mommy) nearby to reassure you that you’re doing okay. That loneliness is real. But I’ve also discovered how incredibly strong we can be when we need to be.

Before motherhood, I worked in accounting and finance and I’m currently studying project management here in Canada. But nothing has taught me more about patience, love, and inner strength than being a mom.

What You’ll Find Here

This blog is my heartfelt space to share practical, real-life experiences:

  • 🌱 Pregnancy Health — honest talk about your changing body, trimester by trimester
  • 🎀 Birth & Postpartum — preparing for delivery and the real recovery afterward
  • 🌙 Baby Care & Sleep — what actually worked for us during those early chaotic months
  • ✨ Mom Life & Wellness — because you matter too, mama

My biggest hope is that every mom who lands here — especially new moms and fellow international moms building a life far from home — feels a little more supported, a little more seen, and a lot less alone.

A Gentle Note!

I’m just a mom sharing my own experiences, not a medical professional. Please always consult your doctor, midwife, or healthcare provider for advice tailored to you and your baby.

Thanks for stopping by, mama. I’m truly glad you’re here. Let’s walk this beautiful (and sometimes messy) journey together. 💛
