About Me

Hi, I’m Rica 👋

Welcome to The Mommy Hub — my little corner of the internet where real motherhood lives.
I’m a mom, a Filipino living in Canada, and someone who came into pregnancy with a million questions and not nearly enough answers. I started this blog because I wanted to share my journey in a simple, honest way — the kind of sharing that actually helps, not the kind that makes you feel like you’re doing it all wrong.

My Story

I recently became a mother, and it has changed my life in the most beautiful and overwhelming ways. From the early weeks of pregnancy to navigating newborn care, feeding, sleep schedules, and all the everyday worries in between — I know firsthand how much it can feel like too much, especially when you’re far from family or doing it all for the very first time.
Being an immigrant mom in Canada means sometimes there’s no tita to call, no nanay down the street to reassure you that everything is okay. I’ve felt that loneliness, and I’m still learning every single day. But I’ve also discovered just how strong we really are when we have to be.
Before becoming a mom, I spent many years working in accounting and finance. I’m also currently studying project management here in Canada. But today, my greatest and most humbling role is being a mother — and it has taught me more about patience, love, and inner strength than anything else ever has.

A Note

I’m a mom sharing my personal experience, not a medical professional. Please always consult your doctor, midwife, or healthcare provider for advice specific to your situation.
